Healthy Teeth, Happy Kids

At Mini Molars, we love creating spaces and connections that help kids ease into – and even look forward to – their time in the chair. We’re based in Alpharetta, GA, and we spend a whole lot of time thinking about molars, bicuspids, cavities, and crowns so you don’t have to!

Our philosophy is kid-centric, which means everything from our environment to our treatment options to our attitude is carefully cultivated with kids in mind. Parents appreciate our commitment to exceptional dentistry, and they LOVE the attention, care, and sensitivity we show their minis!

She considers herself a parent ally – helping moms and dads encourage healthy dental habits while growing their kids’ confidence and bringing out the best in their beautiful smiles!

Why did you become a pediatric dentist?

I have always loved working with kids – from nannying in high school to working at a pediatric dentist in college to now being a pediatric dentist myself! However, I considered plenty of other careers along the way. In college, I almost denied my dental school acceptance to become a phycologist (someone who studies algae – yes, like pond scum!)

In dental school, I even took the exam to become an oral surgeon and did an oral surgery externship where I lived alongside the oral surgery residents. It was there that I decided pediatric dentistry was for me. Nothing I saw lit me up quite like the pediatric cases. I couldn’t picture the rest of my career not being filled with brave and hilarious kiddos.

Q.

Why is being a pediatric dentist the best?

Being a pediatric dentist is the best job in the world because I empower kids to be their most confident selves. I can turn a scared and defiant kid into one who begs to come back. I transform fear into laughter and joy. I build trust and acceptance where before there was doubt and shame. I find creative ways to achieve what parents doubted we could accomplish.

I truly love the work I get to do. It is an honor to be the one who forever shapes how a child views going to the dentist! I have so many parents who say, “I hated going to the dentist as a kid.” My goal is to flip that on its head. I want my patients to grow up and say, “Going to the dentist as a kid was so FUN!”
